Policies

Cancellations:

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed appointment leaves a hole in the therapist’s day that could have been filled by another client. In order to minimize disruptions to our schedule, we require 24 hours notice to change, cancel and/or reschedule Massage Therapy appointments. By becoming a client of the clinic, you are agreeing to these policies.

If 24 hours is not given, for any reason (including illness or emergency) full charges apply and will be charged to the credit card on file. In the case of severe weather the clinic will close and all clients that day will be notified as soon as possible.

Illness:

Clients who arrive for their appointments ill will be refused treatment and charged full price.

Payments:

Preferred payment is cash or e-transfer but VISA and Master Card are also excepted. E-transfers can be sent to rhonda@wellkneadedmassage.net.

Arriving Late:

If you arrive for your massage past your appointment time, you can still receive treatment for the time remaining but will be charged for the time that you booked.

Safety and Acceptance:

Respect and professional behaviour is of high priority. Any rude, sexual or inappropriate actions or comments will result in the therapist ending the treatment and asking the client to leave. They will be charged full price for the massage appointment.

This is a safe space for everyone including the LGBTQ+ community. Everyone is accepted as who they are and treated with respect.

Clinical Procedures:

Arrive as close to your appointment time as possible. If you are early, you may wait in your car or outside, weather permitting. Your RMT will waive you in when she is ready. Also please refrain from smoking or vaping immediately before your appointment.

Cell Phones:

We ask that before any massage therapy appointment begins, all cell phones be turned to silent for the duration of the massage. This is to allow the client to relax but also to allow the therapist to concentrate. Thank-you for your consideration.

Travel:

It is clinic policy that all clients postpone any massage therapy treatments for 1 week after travelling out of country.

Parking:

Clients are welcome to park on the street for any appointments. There is a five-hour parking limit on our street.

Illness:

If you or anyone in the household are experiencing any COVID-19, cold, or flu-like symptoms such as:

sore throat sneezing fever

cough shortness of breath difficulty breathing or swallowing

diarrhea pink eye unexplained fatigue or muscle aches

nausea vomiting decreased sense of taste or smell

chills. abdominal pain,

please reschedule your appointment to another day. Working in such close quarters puts other clients, the RMT, and her family at risk of getting sick. Thank-you for your understanding and consideration. If you are unsure if you are ill or have been exposed, please voluntarily wear a mask for your massage. If you do not have access to a mask, the clinic can supply you with one.

Accessibility:

Our office is not wheelchair accessible. There is a flight of stairs to the appointment room with a railing.
